Dare to be bold.

Dare to Dream.

Gabe Figueroa is an award-winning director and producer working in the creative mediums of film, television, and theatre.

Gabe Figueroa

Gabe believes in creating dynamic, bold stories that provoke internal reflection and social change - and is currently incubating one untitled television pilot and one untitled feature film for future production. His love for culture and travel greatly inform his directorial endeavors in film, with vividly remembered locales inspiring and becoming the setting for stories such as Cold Winter’s Night (2015). This 21st century adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker shined a spotlight on the rapidly changing face of America’s Military, and the effect of loss on the children of today. The short film was honored by the Television Academy, being awarded the 2nd Place prize for ‘Best Children’s Programming’ and other accolades at film festivals across the US.

As a Producer, Gabe has worked to lead and support a diverse spectrum of projects. Among those recently completed is the faith-based romance, Faith, Hope & Love (2018) and a “proof-of-concept” for Kevin Boston’s cult-comedy project, Rock and Roll Zombie Apocalypse (2018). Gabe has also overseen production on music videos for Fall Out Boy, Chris Brown, G-Eazy, Hayley Kiyoko, Timbaland, Dave East, and many others.

Gabe made his directorial debut in theatre working on a special Children’s Theatre production of the classic, Annie, which played to over 5,000 elementary school students over the course of a two month run. Since then, the content of his projects have ranged from the established to new works – including a recent reading of The Long Drop as part of EST/LA’s L.A. Fest. He is currently an associate member of SDC.

This past year on the stage, Gabe’s producing work has been seen at Center Theatre Group (50th Anniversary Celebration), the Los Angeles Theatre Center (Time Alone, Encuentro de las Americas, 2017 Latino Theater Company Season), and Hero Theatre (The Conduct of Life, Festival Irene), where he serves as Associate Artistic Director.

With each new work, Gabe Figueroa continues to reveal an honest and relevant style that focuses on celebrating the diverse nature of the human experience. As a 2015 graduate of Chapman University’s programs at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, and Department of Theatre, he’s just getting started, and is looking to realize the next impossible dream.
